Ya I've never heard of a leveling kit messing up the ride, mabey your shocks have gone bad do to age or like said above you just need longer ones.

I have new Bilsteins all the way around, so the shocks are okay. The ride is not horrible, but it is noticably harsher on bumps (speedbumps, potholes etc...) when going slow. When I'm at higher speeds, the ride appears the same as before.

Why? A stock 2WD Ram can clear 33's with minor rubbing..

You're adding an extra 1000-2000 lbs of tension to the coil based on the size of the spacer. All that extra tension gets transferred to ride quality. My rebound is like... Instantaneous.

Yup, hope that helps.

I know a guy from over at Desertrangers who had to install limit straps to correct for the problem of the spindle and the bump stop colliding due to the change in geometry caused by the spindle. He eventually ended up ditching the limit straps and spacer in favor of a spindle lift because of the horrible ride quality and destruction of ball joints.

Why would you put 33's and a lift on a 2wd truck anyway, yay! I got big tires and ground clearence but I still get stuck in everything.

For the record mine is 2wd, and is getting rear 2" drop shackles as soon as time allows. It might not be 100% level, but close enough. When I desire to go off road more than the gravel road that leads to the pits of the race track.... thne I will get a 4x4.

Default 2wd leveling

I am going to be replacing my ball joints in my 2wd ram along with the bushings and want to lift the front at the same time. My question is, how high can I go and still be able to get the front aligned? The limit seems to be related to the control arms, and I do not want to blow though tires because the camber cannot be corrected. I have limited funds so would like to do the lift without buying anything other than new coils or a spacer. I like the looks of the Fabtech 3" lift coils, but am concerned because they want you to buy new upper control arms. Anyone done this lift before?

Anything over 2 inches will require limit straps and a lot of money to replace ball joints often.

Just use a spindle.
