Default 2000 Ram 2500 4x4 V-10 brake / ABS problems

I have a 2000 Ram 2500 4x4 V-10. I have been having trouble with the ABS system. When traveling at normal speeds there is no problems with braking, however when I get to about 5MPH as I am slowing down the ABS kicks in and I have no brakes.Once I get below 5 MPH the brakes grab all of the sudden. I unkooked the the rear sensor that is located on top of the rear end and the problem stopped. I thought I had the problem figured out so I bought a new ABS sensor and replaced the old one. Once I hooked it back up I had the same problems that I had when I started.

Can anybody offer any solutions?

** Note - Front pads have just been replaced and the rear are still in good shape.

You need to find out what the wheel speed sensors are reading when the problem occurs. It's possible that you have more than one sensor failing..... which will make for some rather interesting stops.
