Default rear driveshaft stuff

ok.. many know about my built, for those who dont, i put a 99 rams dana 60 front and rear, into my 98 ram 1500...

probalem im having, i now have a 1410 series ujoint on the axle, and my 1330 on my stock driveshaft...

mow what i did was went to the junk yard, and got a driveshaft out of a mtor home, that had the 1410 joint in it the only problme is that it is a like 2 inch driveshaft, and my driveshaft is the stock 3.5, so it cant be cut and modded, just wont fit, there is no trucks out there wtih this joint that i found.. any options ortehr then having a custom one made? and ideas?

pics will come soon of the new lift and axles, and everything 10inch lift and 37s that will stuff, are pretty cool

I do believe there are ujoints available with 2 different size cups. From different options and configurations on these trucks. If you take both joints to a parts store, I bet you can match up what you need.

I'm not sure if conversion joints make that big of a jump..

When installing the yokes you do need to be careful if the axle uses a crush sleeve, too much torque will crush it more resulting in increased pinion bearing pre-load, too little and there will be too little pre-load.

I'm not sure either, but they are not conversion joints. They are OEM replacements, just for models with different setups from the factory, if you know what I mean.

yes, zman, there are conversions out there, but the 1410 is a freakin huge joint, they dont make anything with a 1410 to anything conversion, the conversions you are talking about only go from 1310 to 1330, 1310 to 1350, and finally, 1330 to 1350, other then that, they sell rockwell joints, or detroit joints, but i need spicer...

and as for the crush sleeves, i dont know what it is, i took the old yoke of my old 9.25 axle, it is a 30 spline, i tryed to take the one off the D60, front or rear, and they dont budge, i am a pretty strong guy, i can push alot of wieght, and i was bending a 3/4 inch drive breaker bar with my dad holding the brakes on teh truck, and that hitng didnt move a bit... now i guess an old trick, what i did,, took a chisle, and a mini sledge, made lines on the threaded part, the nut, the spindle, so when i put it back on, i can retighten to the correct spot but i cant get them off......
