Default top end rebuild

hey fellas. i just bought me a hughes fi airgap intake manifold. its part of a step by step top end rebuild. i eventually plan on replacing the cam, getting iron ram heads with 2.02 valves, sturdier springs, roller rockers, and hardened pushrods. now heres my question. does anyone know anything about hughes shaft mount roller rockers for our magnum motors. theyre 1.65:1 ratio so they wouldnt increase the cam profile as much, but are they sturdier with the shaft? or do they create less friction? or should i just stick with the harland sharps?

yeah but if your planning on a cam thee 1,7 not a good idea, the point of the 1.7 is a cheaper way to get power without doing all the work for a cam

true. that was part of the reason i was considering the 1.65 shaft mounts from hughes, i thought they might facilitate a cam swap better

what cam are you going with? trying to figure out what rocker arm you want is kind of a mute point until you know what valve/lobe lift you want.

well i was gonna go with a hughes cam, if i got one at all. alot of the guys on here are happy with their higher ratio roller rockers and i figured if i was happy with the way those wroked out i might leave off the cam swap for the far away future when im buildin a serious racing machine, but for now a cam swap would only happen after all the other upgrades and only if i was still looking for a little better performance.
