Locker/limited slip
I am getting ready to get 4.56 gears installed And I wanted to get ya'lls opinions on a rear axle setup Locker or LSD. The truck is my DD on my weekends off I wheel with some friends. I want it to be dependable without costing me a fortune. Any particular brand and what not. I'd appreciate any input

If you're gonna wheel it get a locker. Detroit lockers are pretty much bomb proof. If you're thinking about locking the front don't buy anything but a selectable locker. There are lots of options for dana 44s and Dana 60s (not sure if you have a 1500 or 2500.
As far as limited slips go detroit true trac and Auburn limited slips are probably the top of the line for the 9.25

i have an auburn lsd. i got a deal on it from a guy that bought it and never installed it, otherwise if i had the money at the time i would of went with a locker. dont get me wrong, it has provided the beef to lock up before i start spinning out in the pasture ground. downside is there are not rebuildable.
You'll really want to install a locker. I'm sure lots of people with LSDs (limited slips) will chime in and say "not needed!" but here's the bottom line...A limited slip is just that. And the one time you really need it to not limit your slip is when it will leave you stuck. A mechanical locker is the only thing that gives you 100% equal power to both tires.
Now you can you certainly use a "lunch box" locker like a power trax, and in most cases that will work perfectly. But if you are pulling the carrier, the detroit locker (if you have the $) cannot be beat. It's high strength case will carry your ram far past tires your rearend shouldn't run, and has decades of racing heritage to back it up.
Lasty, the detroit locker and tru-trac are two different types of differentials. The tru trac is a high break away (limited slip) differential.

You didn't say anything about your truck or where you live.
I live in Colorado. I have a 1500 with an Auburn LSD in the rear and an Ox up front. I used to use the truck as a DD and now just on bad weather days. I do wheel mine and I have 35's on it. Now, I would like to have a Detroit. I do not tow but I did drive it as a DD for several years and it is great in town and decent on trails.

It is a 1500 and I live in TN. I do tow on occasion. I was leaning towards a detroit true trac cause I've been told by alot if people that the full Detroit lockers make an awful noise when they release and that if wasn't used to it I would swear I blew the rearend out.
