injectors
when i order the airgap i want the full benifit and want to order new injectors and orings, is there a way i can clean the ones on there now they have 131xxx miles on them or i could maybe go with new ones that really get tested ??

Start by running a bottle of Chevron fuel injector cleaner on a 1/4 tank of gas. Then buy a cheap ultrasonic ***elry cleaner and a bottle of Chevron Techron. Fill the basin with the Techron, drop in however many injectors you can and turn on the machine for about 15 minutes. Get new injector O-rings from Felpro to make sure they are made of Viton.
The only reason you need new injectors is if the internal windings have broken or it's so clogged it's unrepairable. An injector is a simple electromagnet, when a charge is applied, the piston opens and the pressure in the fuel system squirts the gasoline.
Test the ohmic resistance of each injector before you replace them *****-nilly. Spec'd resistance is 12 ohms +/- 10%, so 10.8-13.2 ohms. You can also listen to the injectors with a mechanic's stethoscope and probe each injector and listen for a click when it fires.

You can submerge the entire injector in solution to clean it. There aren't any chips or resistors in the injector to screw up. Just be careful when you unhook the injectors from the harnesses as the little clips are very easy to break. I had to cut all mine off and wire on new connections because they weren't staying locked on.
You can get 6 MPGs by driving your truck downhill, in neutral, with the engine off. Otherwise, I ain't buying it.
Stock injectors can probably get you to 450 to 500 hp before you need to worry about bigger. You can even swap in a cam and hi flow heads and stay under that.
More injector doesn't mean more power, unless you have maxed out the injector's pulsewidth at WOT and are still running lean. The only way to know that is with a wideband sensor.
If you order a new airgap, you will need an SCT tuner to dial it in a bit. It'll still run with it just fine, but you won't be maxing out the perfromance without a good tune.

+1 for everything Squirrels said.
Others that have purchased the airgap claim the 6 MPG is bogus, not a one so far has got that. Most have said little to no MPG difference, but nice power difference.
