i know about not using a stock rim. but i want to use a 16 as people said better tire choice.

Now i dont think i want boggers. the are just to much money. TSLs would be a good choice but the lugs look almost identical to the LSB so i may go with the lsb just for price. then i can spend more on the motor to get them tires turning. i want some wide tires so there will be quite allot of weight

One more thing for yall.
Ive been told a million things about wide and thin tires
What do you think is a better choice for 8 inches of lift. wide may keep me up or could sink me and no chance of getting out.

Thin and i may drop to far down and well still cant get out

the wider the tire the more ground pressure which will ussualy stand up better in mud. that being said i have seen skinny tires go further in holes than wide tires so i don't know i always like wider better

no, im not talking about rim height, 16 will fit, im talking about the width of the rim itself. you wont fit a 16 inch wide tire on a 7 inch wide rim(stock 16x7 rim)

i personally wouldnt got any wider than 12.50 because youre gonna rub with any wider, unles syou go for more offset, but then youre putting more wear on your wheel bearings, and other axle components.

thin tires can also spin faster in mud since there is less tire there, which in turn allows you to keep your tires moving which cleans them out, which in turn keeps you moving forward or backward.

I know for snow wider is better. But for mud I have to think tall and skinny.

I drove a truck with 14.50 mickey's on it last winter and wider is horrible. Maybe off-road they would be better but going down a road the pull you around really bad.

wide is for really light trucks...skinny for heavey trucks. as far as more pressure with wider tires...i will have to respectfully disagree.

if the truck weighs 6000lbs (for ease of math) and thats 1500lbs per tire...if you have 50sqin of tire footprint(10"wide...5"of tread) then you have 30lb per sqin pressure. if you have only 40sqin of tire footprint(8"wide...5"of tread) then you have 37.5lb per sqin pressure.

does that make sense?

Wider tires are good for off roading and rock's. Wider foot print more grip. When you go off road you should air down.

true true...but if you do run a narrow tire, if you get one with an aggressive sidewall, airing down will make the sidewalls part of the footprint.

The only tire with side lugs is the Super Swamper Thornbird. But they don't clean very well.
