Default Loud Squeaking

So a new issue has arisen. When I turn left or right there are is a loud squeak that will continue as long as I am holding the wheel. Also happens when I go over bumps and such.

From what I've read its either control arms or the transmission linkage under the drivers side foot pedals.

Any input?

Postnote: Anyone know the torque specs for our trucks? Took the wheels off to clean them up, threw back on and tightened them down with a breaker bar and nineteen mm deep well. They've loosened themselves and its time to torque them down.

Could be BJ's. Get a Haynes manual and see if you are up to the task. Plus the manual gives you all the torque specs you need. As far as the wheels go though, you have aftermarket wheels, so I don't know if the oem specs would apply.

I know, I just didn't want to be the one to tell him and have a wheel fall off or something.

Actually, I added Prestone Power Steering fluid to top it off. Come to think about it, that is about the time all of this started really...

I don't think its the ball joints. It if was, the wheels would be wobbling about and I could freely move them as if the lugs were loose. I replaced two uppers and two lowers on my Jimmy.

Any other ideas?

Remember, happens when going over bumps, general decompression and expansion of the suspension, and turning.

Not true. If they or one is rusted and seized up, it could squeak before it gets loose.
