Default What alternator do I have???

I've searched and searched under the hood for an Id sticker or plaque, and I've come up dry. I want to know how many Amps my alternator is putting out, and I know that these trucks came with 8 different alternators.

I have an 01 1500 318 4x2, extended cab base model if that helps..

Email chrysler for a build sheet. It'll tell you everything you want to know.

Go with the high output.
Check the ALT fuse, it should be close to that, 130 something.
If they give you the wrong one [lower output and you're supposed to have higher], the top bolt won't fit.
Otherwise they look identical, and it will install, except for that bolt.
Side by side the high output is a little stockier.
Just been through it a couple weeks ago, truck same stats as yours except 96.

Pull it and bring it in, not only do you need it for the hefty core charge, but you may also have to
swap belt pulleys, I did.

The post on the 136a is bigger than the 117a. Found this out when I made the swap. I just put a new end on the cable. But as has already been said. Email Chrysler for the build sheet. Then you will know what you have.

How do I email Chrysler? My alternator is working fine, I just need to know what it's putting out.
