okay so i been letting this problem slide with out tryingt to fix it. so my 2001 dodge ram only blows hot. even if you turn the temp **** to cold(blue..lol) and its blows super hot. even when u turn it to a/c is blows hot.. my wife's dad has a 95 dodge that does the same thing so i know this is probly somewhat common.. how do i fix this or ??? please help any advice would be great
The blend door is broke or the mechanism that operates it, or the control module itself is bad. Those 2 trucks operate differently. The 2001 has a little electric motor down by the blend door that goes bad. The 95 probably uses a cable IIRC.
yeah a/c was good... i took it out but i never blow cold even witht he a/c pump and etc.. but the wiring is good but i'm not even sure were the blend door it or anything. i honest don't know much about the wriing and stuff on the dodge's i build chevy's not dodges lol so yeah more info would be good thanks for what you already have told me
It's a rectangular plastic box on the side(towards the driver side of the heat/ac unit under the dash. Maybe someone with a later model than mine can get a pic of it for you.
