Default Some intake questions.....

Ok, I got a bunch of stuff that Im goin to be throwing on my truck hopefully this wknd. Modded kegger/TB, 14in air cleaner setup, and some cool powder coated hemi orange mopar performance valve covers that should be worth at least 25hp and 5mpg.

Here's my question.....I know that the guys that are running the Air Gap, have to relocate your MAP sensor, would it be worth it to go ahead and relocate it up in the air hat if Im just running a modded kegger and poor man's TB??? The way I look at it......cant really hurt. Just will take a better reading in the cold air hat than in the hot manifold.

What do you guys think?????

The relocation of the MAP on an AirGap is out of design, its a completely different intake than a kegger. As far as relocating on a Kegger , I have not heard or read anything pro or con to it. It seems easy enough to do, my only concern would be the changing of the air reading would mess with the air/fuel mixture. Or the PCM trying to adjust to it.

When I had my 14x3 on, I relocated the IAT into the bottom of it (didn't do both at the same time). All I noticed was, I got worse gas mileage.

MAP sensor isn't the same as IAT, make sure you all aren't talking about different sensors.

MAP measures manifold vacuum, IAT measures incoming air temperature charge. Both can be relocated, but you better know what you're doing before you tap into your $600 Air Gap manifold.
