My first Dodge
i dont know if this would play a role in the problem, but are you sure you have the tires balanced right? on mine they take the sticky weights, and 2 days after i got them balanced, i noticed a section of the sticky weight had flown off somehow. caused a good amount of play in steering. so i took it back and made them rebalance them, and they did
I had the same problem when i bought mine. I had to replace the ball joints, u joints, wheel bearings, track bar, and replace all 4 tires(they were all worn with 2 having ply separations)and then get a front end alignment. After all of this was done, my truck goes fairly straight down the road, sometimes slightly going to the right, with a slight bit of play in the steering wheel. The guys at my local mechanics said that that is the best it can get. Hope some of this helps!
EDIT: Really nice truck, it looks like it was well taken care of!

Thanks, I got the ball joints and an aligment but I think I'm leaving it like it is. I don't know if replacing anything will help.
Thanks, it certainly looks well taken care of.
I'm selling the tires and wheels though, going for a different look. I have them listed in the classifieds if you know anyone interested.
