Talking First-time Dodge Owner

How's it going? I just recently purchased a '99 Ram 1500 Sport. I'm new to Dodge as well as the forum. I'm looking to put some mods on it to improve it performance-wise. The truck is STOCK! Anything you all would recommend.. Anything would really help out. Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you guys.

welcome to dodge forums. first check the condition of you plugs and wires, everyone says do a good tune up. but i say check the condition of the stuff before you waste money. Then, HS roller rockers, gears, check for a bad plenum gasket. and i am sure others will chime in!

And the third thing is replace the plenum gasket and plate, front o2 sensor and cat. Before you spend money on anything else.

make sure you do the plenum first as stated. Its the plate mounted to the bottom of the intake manifold.

here is what you want to get. it makes it soyou never have to worry about the plenum again and gives you better mpg's and overall performance. mines a 5.9 4x4 1500, and i get 14-15 mpg city which is good for these trucks. i replaced mine with this 2 weeks ago.
