A/C Compressor - running while not using AC?

All it's doing is pulling the moisture out of the heat. Mine does it, but only on defrost though.

Mine only does it on defrost as well, but the Explorer I was referring to does it in all modes. (not that it matters what an Explorer does)

There was a recent thread on this that explained the factory service manual states that the compressor operates on all but those two settings, which is how my truck has always operated. Put your dial setting to the "feet and front of dash" setting while the temp dial is on cold... I will bet you will have freezing cold air (as long as the AC works).

I don't know about MI, but around here, AC is done for the year. Remind me about May when things start warming back up though.
