Default Steering wheel audio controls

Damn, I broke the right side switch today. Can't seem to find it, but I remember coming across them somewhere. Anyone know a place to get these other than the dealer or a junkyard? I hate not being able to control the stereo volume this way.

you don't need that switch.
let me tell you a little story about being pampered by the steering wheel volume controls. the other day we all went out to eat and on the way there i got a call on my cell, so i asked my mom to turn the radio down a little bit. she reached up and almost had her hand on the volume **** then what does she do? she put her hand back on the wheel and used the steering wheel volume control.

if you really feel the need to get another then you can call minton motors up tomorrow. http://www.mintonmotorsinc.com/index.html

Lol...... Do it the old fashioned way- use the volume ****.
Or, my radio came with a remote and I keep it in the door cup. I use it when I'm listening to a CD..

I DO need that switch. I hate using the radio **** and I'm really used to the steering wheel controls. I didn't spend money for an adapter for my Sony head unit just to not use it. Found a new OEM replacement at this place. Cost me $40 with shipping, but still better than using the ****.

40 isn't too bad for a not so common part.
do you have to take the wheel apart to change it out? i've never seen the steering wheel audio controls on a ram.

My truck has several options you rarely see on a Ram.

The wheel doesn't have to come off, but the airbag does. I'll take pics of the procedure for a DIY. There's a number of repairs that require removal of the airbag, so I'm sure some will find it helpful.

I agree, Helms. I always buy radios with buttons, no *****, but since I had the steering wheel controls on this truck and an adapter was available, I went with a Siny deck with a volume **** knowing I wouldn't need to use it. Trying to adjust the volume with a **** in a truck with stiff suspension is a challenge. I have actually blown a speaker out when I was doing this and hit a bump, spinning the **** almost all the way up. The steering wheel controls, once you've had them, are hard to live without.
