I have the thermoquiets on my truck. There was a rebate on them a few weeks ago for $15. I don't know if it is still good. It made them worth the price. They are as good as any other pads I have used. I can't say anything bad about them, but I can't say that they are any better than any other pads I have used.

^^ Right. Hold the caliper in one hand and push the bolt out with your thumb. Then, push on that sleeve until it's flush with the caliper surface. That should correct your problem and allow the caliper to be installed.

What kind of truck is it? The sleeves should move freely. Pull them out and clean them up then coat with anti sieze. If they are nasty, just replace the calipers. You can get rebuilt calipers for around $15-$25.

Make sure the sleeves are flush with caliper and yes they should move freely, and if you have to lighty tap caliper with a rubber mallet it should slide into place then just jiggle it around until bolts slide into place dont forget to put some grease on the slides.

i was told not to put brake grease on the back of the pads (the anti-squeak stuff). the thermoquiets are made to run without the grease.

i was just throwing it out there about the anti squeak stuff. i've always been told to put it on the back of the pads but you're not supposed to with thermoquiets.
