no reason for fights peeps...

i hav always used Lucus, and since ive used it ive never had an engine blow. i had a 2.2L Sunfire that had 212K when i sold it, original motor, and still ran excellent. had an Olds. Cierra 3.1L didnt use Lucus, and the motor blew at 75K, i bought it at 59K
Pontiac Grand Am 2.4L Motor blew, didnt use Lucus (blew first day i had it) at 158K
Nissan Pickup 2.4L always used Lucus, and the truck ran excellent, and i beat the living $h!t out of it when i went mudding almost every other day. always ran good.

Then i have my Dodge 5.9L which currently has 195821 miles ive used Lucus since i bought it, and the previous owner always used lucus, and the motor runs excellent.

All in all my experiances with Lucus have all turned out good. Maybe its just a coincidence that the motors without lucus blew and the other ones didnt.

but now im NOT running lucus for i want to see if theres a change.

**ding/ hotsauce I think), I've rebuilt 36+ motors..complete and you don't need graghs and numbers, 'an frick'in charts to show scoring on cylinder walls,..all I can say is, (I get my 226 ib. self a little too riled up when people doubt true and blue testing for "package label reading"??? come on now boy....you need ya self sum "POON"!!!..... oh yeah,..CMCKENNA, I'm also a certified mechanical engineer,...u want me fax U my diploma?
Your going to have to travel a lot farther than that my friend. I don't live in Hickville LA I am out in Los Angeles hence the LA. Oh, by the way, I went to school too and am in my early 40s and am not a child. I have worked for Boeing Space and Satellite and have contracted for Raytheon Missile Systems, Raytheon Space and Airborne and have worked on projects involving Lockheed, General Dynamics, Goodrich and GE, Crane Aerospace, Aerovironment as a Sr Engineer making unmanned aircraft so, I don't feel threatened by your name calling and insults. I merely pointed out to the other poster that there was no evidence to support your case. I never called you any names or was directly rude to you in any way.

For someone with a "diploma" you sure missed the 101 classes on English and technical writing for starters. Your writing makes you appear as an uneducated, illiterate person in my opinion. You must have been absent that day.

Why so hostile? We're just showing you the facts. Personal experiences are not facts. They can help support facts, but are not fact, because there is so many varibles involved with personal experiences. You know, you dont have do get so upset about what some guy on the internet says about the oil you use. Instead, you should have just said: "Well, I've used Lucas for over 40 years, and my engines run great, I'm staying with it." And that would be the end of it. Although cmckenna will still throw out those facts out there (Which is great! If I could, I'd shake his hand.) so we are informed. I dont use additives because my engine runs like a top with just synthetic motor oil.

Dont act my age.

If that's the child like info bashing people.....I'm outta here,..you dumb sucka!
What child like info bashing people? Huh?

Take some breaths guys... I dont want to see this escalate any farther. Heated discussions are okay but when name calling begins, the fun ends. So relax, crack a cold one and keep discussing in a mature manner.

hey now, you can't bring a Nissan into the mix. those motors will run forever. i will probably be looking for a mid 90's nissan king cab 4x2 if my camaro kicks it. my dad used to have a 96 king cab and he gave it to my sister around the year 2000 and she drove it for years, only to trade it for a chrysler cirrus but the only thing to go wrong with that truck before it got sold it was (in about 220000 miles) an alternator every 75k on the dot and the clutch around 200k miles (from teaching 5 different people how to drive a stick).

Actually I've just been writing that way to fool around,..I was born in Finland, went to University here in Canada, and live in Canada. If you hadn't noticed...I went back and changed my write up. Also,..I was just mad and excerpted 1 or 2 qualifications,...I didn't blurt out my whole resume....you know what they say,..."The ones who show off with all their might,....usually are all talk and can't back it up". It's been a delightful journey playing grade 3 wrestling of the minds with you,..but I'm going to go get me some "POON" now,... chow. *(p.s: Peace.....I have a habit of taking it too serious when someone says I'm full of sh*t or just following the label.... sorry guys,..don't want to be an a$$)
