Ebay ones would be ok for normal use.If you plan on keeping your truck forever or running oversize tires the higher end ones will be better.I've never seen both go bad at the same time under normal use.The left side on mine is original and the right was changed at 250K but,I don't do any mudding. Also you won't need any kind of press, you will need a big socket for the hub nut and a torque wrench and some anti-sieze.

no, the bearings come out in an assembly, and theres 3 12 point 9/16" bolts that hold it in. just use the boxed end of a combo wrench to get those off. then itll just slide out, be careful not to pull the axle out. also make sure to take off the brake caliper after breaking the hub nut loose. have someone stand on the brakes while you break that hub nut loose.

Ok i got my fiancees maxima running again so i can continue with my rebuild.

I just replaced wheel bearings, and i still had a hop afterwards when turning left, but it was very minimal. aired my tires to correct PSI, and it really doesnt hop anymore.

Now for the next set of rebuilding.

-I need to get her lookin good so doors are #1, and am in the process of getting some. Also doing some more rocker work.

-Borgeson Steering Shaft

-Axle Seals...my driver side was leaking, and doing the pass. wheel bearing made that one leak, so both are leaking now.
- Magnaflow CAT / new 02 Sensor.

Also looking into a flowmaster 40 with dual pipes and chrome tips right now.

these are my next items.....ill be getting some pics...

it's about time you got that maxima back on the road. if you would have taken my advise and booted her out the door with the toolbox and a haynes manual then i bed she would have gotten it fixed within a couple hours.

no she wouldnt have, because since it was apart so long, i lost the idle pulley nut....lol...had to go scavanging for one. and couldnt find one...all the junkyards within 30 miles of me, have no motors in their maximas. So i ended up taking the strut mount bolt and it fit lol. good thing theres still two more holding it on...and good thing i just got a sticker on it, because the CEL is on for the knock sensor now...165 bucks for the sensor, thats BS

well if she is competitive then you should challenge her to see who has to change the oil. best of 3 slayer matches on halo?
i'm just messing with ya. i have to twist my girlfriends arm just to get her to check her oil. then she doesn't even do that, its off to the dealership for every oil change.
now that i think of it, i have to just about beg her to come talk to me when i'm working on her car. that's messed up, i'll be out there doing something to her car and she'll go inside and watch tv.
