i had a cracked plug wire on #8 right by the bend in the header. when i replaced the wires and did the re-route my overdrive surge went away.

its always nice to find out that it's an easy fix.

I learned two things today.

1. Spark plug wires like to melt when resting on an exhaust manifold.

2. I will never buy Universal wires again, Having to cut and splice those things are a pain in the ***.

i just did wires, plugs, cap, rotor and coil on my truck yesterday (sunday), the first thing i noticed is how much smoother it ran at idle

the other thing, how much of a pain in the *** getting to the cap is
