+1 ^ I was going to go through all of your previous posts on the multiple threads to gather this info, but if you don't mind, we would all love to have it all in one post! Please give as much info as you can (part #s, where you got them, etc.) I can hardly wait to build mine! I'm saving as much as I can as often as I can, so, someday, I can do more than just envy you and your engine build!

did you take a vacuum reading off the new manifold. i did and it was at fifteen which my hanes manual said was three pounds low. now i can understand how the airgap would probably lower the vacuum at idle due to runner length inside diameter etc., but i just wanted to check with someone else to match up results.

I think that 408 is going to eat your basically stock trans. Just a gut feeling I have. Unless it was rebuilt with some good stuff.

No I finished it toatly this morning and still have not taken it for a test drive. Go a whisle so loud will make your ears bleed. come to find out its the iac because I had the battery dissconnected for a day and a half it F-ed up the iac steps. Now I have to drive it over to pep boys where I know someone that will hook it up to the snapon tool and reset the iac for me.-suck

well i found out why i was getting that huge whisle. The adapte plate i got from hughes is not cast large enough. there is only .022 contact area from the back of the cutout on the bottom side of the tb by the iac to the rear of the casting on the adaper plate(after you account for the chamfer) I will have to call hughes monday and see what happens
