Unhappy Odd Problem...

So last week I was hunting/off-roading and when I came back I noticed when I was pavement driving my check engine light would flash on then quickly off ONLY when I was taking sharp turn or hitting bumps hard.

Any idea wtf is going on? Short? Sensor messed up? Should I even care?

I check the engine and didn't see anything wrong nor the fluids wrong so I am at a loss right now. Any ideas would be great, if the light stayed on I'd just check the reading or something.

get it checked anyway. i believe that the codes get stored for a while even if the light goes off.

sounds like some wiring is touching, which is not out of the ordinary for these trucks, and from personal experiance

If you were offroading mabey a stick or something hit, and a wire or sensor came loose...just my 2 cents.

So I don't normally post something when it was MY problem but...

I went to my Mechanic to have him check it out and do a quick oil change (shush he charges me $15 cause I supply the oil and filter...I have no garage and don't want to crawl my 6'2" body under the truck...anyway)

He tells me...dude wtf you had about only a quart of oil in your engine! YIKESSS!!! I did check it recently, 2-3 weeks ago, but, hate to admit this, I checked it when it was HOT!! DOH!!!

He credits that nothing went wrong because of the low oil because of the oil I use...Royal Purple...whoaa I guess it saved my butt for what could of happened!!

Always good to have a Mechanic on hand that is honest and non-expensive! He would of easily told me it was a sensor problem or whatever and over charge me! Instead...he said don't be a dork next time and charged me $15 for the oil change!

So far...yes...oil pressure hasn't dropped. (forgot to update that I noticed the oil pressure gauge drop when the check engine light came on)

So I hope that all it is...scary thing is I was hunting with the oil like that and 20+ miles from a major road! whew! someone was looking after me!

I'd be wondering where all that missing oil went to
