It should tell you on the side wall for the optimum PSI, that should be for every day driving, and unless you do some pretty decent off roading you don't need to air down at all.

The 32" Dunlop MT i run on my jeep are about 35 PSI and I have usually keep them there no matter what I am driving on..

Not sure about your Mud Countrys, but the max PSI on my 35x12.5x17 Fun Country IIs is 50 psi. I run them at 40 psi when on the pavement. Anything much above 44 psi and they start to lose "give" and get a little harsh.
Most tires run at about their most optimum at about 80% of maximum air capacity.

I don't know how anyone could give you a proper answer without knowing the capacity rating of YOUR specific tire. Some 10 ply off-road tires are rated for upwards of 80 psi. A blanket statement of "35 psi" would be ridiculous for such a tire!!!

at the ford shop i work at we set most half ton tires at 35 psi and that usually works for most stock tire applications. I myself ram my 35 inch dick cepek fc2s at 35 psi. for about one oil change. then set them to the max psi rating of 50 psi and they ride rougher but i have drove them that way for 15,000 miles and the tires are wearing perfectly. My suggestion is to run 50 psi i think you will be happy.

Ive got 33" BFG all terrians there a 10ply tire and I run them at 70psi, so 35 wouldn't work to tell for me, every tire is different you just need to read the side wall for yours.

I run usually at 40 psi for day to day things and if I go off road I drop them as low as 20-25 psi depending what type of off roading I am doing.
