custom grille project

I layed out where I wanted the wires (I painted them silver first) and marked their location. I cut thin steel wire into 2" pieces and bent them into "U". I used body filler to attach these where I marked the wire locations with the open end of the U up. I placed the barbed wire into these and then put 1/4" steel screen which I painted black over the barb wire and then twisted the "U"s of wire to hold it all together. There are 10 pieces of barb wire, they are cut in the center to clear the support. the barbs are staggered and I made sure that there is no barb where the hood release is.
I can take photo of the back side tomorrow if you want.

got to work on the last side and took some step by step pics.......
i used a jig saw for all of this in case i didnt mention that yet
heres the rough cut

then i cut it to get it nice and square



heres the piece i cut out to fill in, not perfect, but it works










after these last pics, i took the ABS cement and smoothed over it, this weekend ill try to sand it down
