Default 5.9 needing replacement

well guys i have a 95 ram with the 5.9 magnum and its shot. the valves and rings are toast and is the head gasket and probably some other gaskets. this makes me mad cuz this truck only has 110k on it if that cuz my odometers off. so i am wondering if i could swap in a 5.2 from like a 98 without having to change to much wiring and if the transmissions would match up? let me know im in the market for an engine now and if you have a good running one and your in michigan pm me a price. also if you know of any good shops in michigan to look for one at let me know. i just need to get this dang thing fixed, luckily i have a backup truck to drive.

^+1 you also can try >Here< for used engines. I've heard good and very little bad things about them, but the warranty might be worth it.

edit:
I took another look closely, they have Installation available, Free Shipping within continental U.S., Three (3) year unlimited mileage warranty

You might try doing a search. There are a number of engine swap threads already in here.

i'd stick with the 5.9. otherwise i think you end up with problems with computer, flex plate or torque converter, harmonic balancer.

you probably already know this but 94-95 is OBD-I and 96+ is OBD-II. I think the only difference is intake and sensors. so you may have to put your 95 intake and sensors on anything outside of 94/95.

some 96's are still classified as OBD1, 1997 is when all were changed
