Default Make a plenum plate?

Lets just say if I had access to a CNC machine, could I make a plenum plate out of 1/4" aluminum? Or is there something Im not seeing....

just get the hughes plenum plate for 86 bucks, and never have to worry about itagain, nor do you have to worry about the fabrications

I was thinking the same thing but looking at them I don't think I have to machine it. Just trace the original and bandsaw and drill. If anything I would mill the bottom of the plenum off to make a flat mating surface.

If you are going to go that far to make it yourself, don't drill the holes and have someone weld it on.

is money that tight? it would be pretty sweet you could engrave somethin cool in there a nice little suprise for the next owner. hows she runnin? you still having starting problems?

Engrave something? That would be a waste of time. If you have access to the tools and material, then I say do it. Beats paying for shipping and waiting for it to get there.

I was just wonderin. Normally things take awhile to get here sometimes... Only gettin 7 mpg, have a coolant leak up front, takes 10 sec to start when cold, needs tuneup....gotta love it
