Lightbulb got an idea last night

So i noticed the hood of my truck up close looks like **** the paint is all cracked but not peel. So i was thincking wht if i painted my hood with that dupli color bed liner stuff (black) and then put the ram logo in white (flat or satin no gloss or semi gloss) over that. Wht do you all thinck? Also i was thinking of geting ride of the chrome on the grill and painting that with that bed liner stuff too.

Sounds heavy. What about the heat you have to worry about it cracking.

Just sitting out in the sun in the summer time will create more heat than the engine ever will.

OP I hope you plan on clearcoating to keep it from peeling cracking from UV damage...

o lol. ya sounds like u do lol. but ya i would say to the black grill. and it would look sweet if u just painted the black on the hood instead off the bedliner stuff and the white ram in the middle. i think it would stay cooler that way too

I don't know about that bed liner stuff. Having that texture on just the hood and no where else doesn't flow right IMO. Now, a nice flat black with that emblem in white and clear coated, now that would look totally awesome.

(It looks like you might have liner on the rockers, but it still wouldn't flow right IMO.)
