Default Door latch misalignment

On my 12 year old full size Ram, the door seems to be drooping to where the latch doesn't align well with the door jamb. On a previous old P/U I had in the 80's the same thing happened and the problem was obvious and the fix was simple fix - replaced the hinge. On this Ram the reason for the misalignment isn't as obvious. Has anyone else had similar experience with these doors?

Look in the DIY section, you need to replace the hinge pins.

I had the same problem on my 96. In my case the hinge pins were worn. Lift your door and see if you have movement in the hinge pin area. You probably will have movement.

I replaced the hinge pins and door worked good again. Door latch aligned again.

Make sure you close the door carefully with the door sagging condition. Don't just pull it close, a bit harder. You could break the latch area on the door. Then you have to have some body work done. More time and money involved. I would post a picture but my limit has been met.

To close my door, I would pull the door up to the latch pin, then lift and close the door. I did this until I repaired the problem.
