I was just out back changing the sensor on the rear diff when I noticed the bolt holding it in was cross threaded or something cause it wont bolt in right again, I will run back out in a sec to take a pic and post it but I need to know what i should do. any advice would be greatly appreciated. My truck is a 98 Ram 1500 slt. 5.2 v8 Magnum. Still took it for a spin to the local coffee shop and speedo still aint working but i think its cause its not snug in there. Also, a noob question, I want to lift up the back end with some jacks cause im a bigger guy, what is the safest way to do it and where do i put the jacks at? use a tap and tap out the threads in the rear diff. and place the jack on the rear diff and put the jack stands under the axle towards the outside close to the wheels

OK i was just out there managed to get the sensor and all in ok and the bolt in and snug, however the spedo still isnt working and im pulling no dtc's. all the other gages in the cluster are working fine. any ideas please?

 

dumb question but it is plugged in right? and it could be a bad sensor. just because its new doesnt mean its good. where did u get it?

 

i got it at Dash supplies in edmonton alberta I put it in as i took it out. how do i get a pic up on here im lost

 

depends on if u use a camera or a camera phone. if u use a camera phone just send it to ur email and save the picture. then go to photobucket and upload it and copy the link onto ur reply. if u use a camera just load them on the computer and do the same thing with photobucket
