Default body lift/grille guard

i have a 99 1500 sport with a 5.5" fabtech suspension lift and i have a grill guard on my truck as well. I have a body lift i want to put on but i dont believe my grill guard will fit if i put it on seeing as how the bumber will be lifted and the guard mounts to the frame. so does anyone know how to get around this or anywhere to get new brackets or anything? thanks

You already have a pretty tall lift as it is, why do you want to lift it even more on top of that? Unless you are trying to clear 37's or something.

Depending on the grille guard, there may be extension brackets from the mfg.

i'll bet, the only way is to build your own custom brackets for it

i am in this same exact situation, same lift, brush gaurd and i got a 3 inch body lift for it on my garage floor. But the only way im going to put the body lift on is when my 35's go bald and i buy 37's for the ol girl, after i find dana 60's for her too.

You will need custom brackets...any machine shop probably can help or just find a company that works with metal.

I am planning, saving for it, a 3 inch body lift but the grill guard wont fit when I do so I will measure out and make some custom brackets.
