Default torque converter

i have a 2000 sport 360 ram 1500 with 160k
the cel is on for the torque converter. sometimes it drives great but usually it doesnt seem to catch quite like it should. the tranny is surprisingly still original but i think it still has a lot of life left. i have played around with the tv cable and the problem remains, but i have changed the shift points a little.

im considering just swapping the torque converter and im wondering what anyones thoughts are... or useful tips if i end up doing it.

if your gonna go thru the trouble of switching the tc why not have the trans rebuilt to and a shift kit installed while you are at it...

1 fast has a good point. Also what all do you do with the truck? It will make a difference if you tow.

If shuddering is your problem, then you might wanna look into buying the sure cure kit. It's suppose to solve that issue among other things.
