Ok, you got me, what's a "roll pan"?

Never mind, I just googled it. Looks like a good alternative, thanks!

problem with that method is when you clean it with steel wool your usually creating thousands of tiny scratches that give the rust an even easier time reforming.... if the chrome is so bad that it cant be cleaned with just polish and non abrasive to chrome scrubby then steel wool can be used but should be sealed afterward with clearcoat to prevent reforming.

I never realized that about cleaning with steal wool. Also as long as I brought up roll pans can use them with a hitch installed on your truck? Also do they just mount with the stock bumper mounts

Looking at a couple, they say that you can get them with or without an access point for a hitch. I don't know if they mount with the stock mounts, but I'd imagine they do.

However, I don't think they look good.

Depends on the hitch, if you have a drop down hitch some will clear the roll pan and be just below it, or some people will make it so that you can flip up the license plate, my friend has an SS/T and he just takes off his plate and sticks it in his window and the reciever is right there and keeps it from being too low

After thinking about it today, it could look cool to buy a used one somewhere and paint it either black or green..There was a thread on here about it.

The only thing is if I wanted it to be green, it'd need to match..Anybody know an easy way to find a matching color spray paint?
