I'm a wee bit into 176,000 miles and runs like a beast! We got her at 118,000 in 2004. Put 58,000 miles over 5 years. On my 2nd transmission, the original lasted until 135,000. Motor still runs great, the body is not rusted (Just dented and scratched), the interior is almost immaculate, and the frame barely has any rust on it. I'm shooting for 1,000,000.

The Purpl Dodge is gonna be around for a LONG time!

My '99 has 123k on the clock just rebuilt the 5.2 and tranny seems to be holding strong. Wow thats odd tranny outlasting the motor? thats unheard of here LOL

My truck is at 238750. Tranny was rebuilt not long ago, but the 5.2 has never been rebuilt.

Im right at 192,000 on tranny #2, #1 lasted till 178,000. I got it in May 05 with 111,000 on it. I think Im in need of doing some new gaskets and seals in the engine and maybe the trans pan gasket though. I replaced the solenoid contacts the other day and it was somewhat wet under there.

Check the torque on the tranny pan bolts. I think it is 135 inch pounds.

I would find it hard to imagine the engines in these trucks not lasting at least 300,000. At least the bottom end! At 200,000 I plan to re-build the top end of the motor with EQ heads, cam, and FI Airgap. Bottom end, we'll see how long she lasts!
