Looks like a good solid truck. I would scrub the hell out of that engine bay. It's filthy! Also, may I suggest a 14x3 air cleaner? They look good and sound good in my opinion, but if the hiss would bother you, steer clear.

It's a two owner truck, and yeah it needs a good cleaning. The only bad thing I noticed and found out was that the first owner added some really nice flowmaster chrome tips and welded them on. Then proceeded to cut some holes in the piping to give it a deep sound. Much to my disappointment those holes weakened the pipes and the exhaust system after the cat fell off during an off road trip. So now I don't have any exhaust just headers to the cat.

As for the air cleaner, I'm gonna go with CAI from K&N.

You may want to do a search on the CAI. A lot of guys don't think they're worth the money. I've never tried one personally, but I would look into it.

Yep APS also sells them and is who I went with. I'd either go with the APS or Hughes kit if I was going to do the pleneum gasket. Another option is something like the M1 intake that does away with the pleneum design. I told my self that if I ever did the pleneum gasket this is what I was going to do but when the time came I decided the M1 intake didn't fit my needs and was super expensive for something that wouldn't benefit me much if and may hinder me.

E3 spark plugs are a waste of money, IMO. Sort of like the Bosch +4s... very few people have reported good with them (although, some have).

I'd do either Champion stockers or V-powers from NGK. Once you get the upgrades mostly done, consider Autolite 3923s.

Default Update **12/2/09**

Well I was thinking of doing a CAI from K&N but I stumbled upon a nice Edelbrock 14x3 air cleaner at Auto-zone.

And the best part of it all, it was only $20+ tax. So I picked it up. Better than spending $200+ on something, and it looks nifty.
