Unlike a lot of guys on here I don't run a 14x3 but instead run the Edelbrok 1002 air filter setup. I like it myself but the 14x3 filters look nice too.

and do you have to do that bent rod thing to do the 14X3?
Yes, you need the bent rod because the threaded hole in the throttle body is off set. It's not centered.

I had that on my '98 Dakota. Do you have a bunch of dirt under the filter when you take it off to clean it? Mine seemed like it let alot of stuff go through.

Is there any diffrence between running a 14x3 and a 10x2 besides the amount of air? Is anyone running a 10x2?

well i felt a little differnce all the way around but the best part was 2500+

after awhile i thought i loss buttom end so i put the stock back on and could feel the diff loss of power 2500+ and down end was about the same,,, but i also have a 50mm tb

for 30 bucks i dont think you can go wrong,,, i looked at it this way for 30bucks i can take my girlfriend to dinner or take her 4 ride in the truck with the new air cleaner((( my gf smiled so big when i got into that pedal)

or just save a dollar a day and you can get one

but dont think that 4 for 30bucks or going to have a race truck

plus it looks cool as hell!!!!!!!!!!

hope this helps

my only thing is that i think it would be sucking all the hot air from under the hood into the intake since its sitting right there on top. i just dont think it would work as good sucking in all that hot air
