because i tend to keep vehicles for a long time, and including the wife and kids fleet, i've gotten free replacements on dozen's of items over the years from autozone.

anything with a lifetime warranty that's ever failed or worn out, they've replaced with absolutely no questions asked. that includes brakes, alternators, starters, axles, water pumps, ps pumps... anything with a lifetime warranty has always been honored. i've more than gotten my money's worth and couldn't be happier.

i've probably gotten 3 sets of free brakes on my old chevy.

No sir, you are wrong. I went back and he have me an Autozone sheet that states, the lifetime warrenty covers them no matter what. When they wear out bring them back, give them your phone number and you get new ones. BUT, if you wear them out metal to metal, the warrenty is voided.

i've exchanged worn out brakes in every imaginable condition for new, FREE brakes. some were half worn out but squealing, some were worn out, some were beyond worn out all the way down to the rivets.
