Default A suggestion on Brake pads...

So, Yesterday I was driving and I kept hearing my front pad squeek. That noise drives me crazy. I had already taken them off, cleaned them, sanded the glaze off, used disc brake quiet. And NOTHING! I finally went to Autozone, and bought they best ones they had. Duralast Gold Cmax (Ceramic). Wow. What a difference. It stops so much better, makes no noise at all, and they have a lifetime warrenty. I gave them my phone number and thats it. They are $60 for our Dodge trucks, both sides. Anyone have any problems with the warrenty or the duralast pads?

I cant even walk into AutoZone w/o throwing an oil filter at somebody. I couldnt imagine having a warranty claim!

LOL...I dont think the warranty is all its made out to be. I dont believe it covers them if they wear out cuz it happens to all pads. I think it only covers if they seperate or crack. Cuz otherwise that be like some manu putting a lifetime warranty on tires, they are bound to wear out and that wouldnt keep them in business if they keep replacing worn out tires.

I have had a water pump, alternator, and shocks replaced free from A-Zone.
The w-pump was over 4 years old, shocks 8 years and 60,000 miles, alt. 7 years old.

my water pump and alternator lasted 10 years and 230k miles and decided to all take a dump on me at the same time. along with the fuel pump it was an expensive month. shocks are still fine though and they are still original

I took back some shoes that cracked to Auto Zone and had to explain to Raqtif that they were not made like that and that I didn't have a core since these were defective. He kept telling me that I would have to bring the core back. Finally after about 10 mins of trying to explain to him that the cores were brought back 6 months ago I asked to speak to the manager. Manuel was a little bit more understanding. He only asked for the core twice before I got he understood. Sometimes I wonder it is it better to pay 5 times as much and go to Napa or Carquest.

The warranty doesnt normal cover wear and tear. No warranty will. The warranty is for craftsmanship and defects.

Havent had a problem with autozone or its warranties have those same break pads on my truck and have returned them due to wear and they never said anything about it, it seems to really depend on were you live and the managers.

I cant stand going to Crapa(napa) there overpriced and I have had more problems with there parts than ones that worked
