ram vs cold air intakes??? whats better???
There's already an entire thread on this....use the search function...although it doesnt offer any real facts from what I remember.
if properly installed the cai would have better results since colder denser air = more horspower that has been proven many times. But many here for some reason think the old fashioned round filter is just as good I had both and dont really notice any difference except the round one was louder (air sucking noise) which wasnt desirable to me

For the record though, CAI's are better. Just becuase you are getting colder air. Cold air= denser, cooler, runs better. LOL! The jist.
a ram air intake is a form of CAI? and it totally depends on use....ram air is bad for driving in rain and mud....can cause problems like hyrolock
its better for racing though

Oh. Thought a open kit to a closed kit. A ram air can also be called a HAI or a Ram Air intake, cuz it would be short. Sorry for the confusion. But yes a ram air setup is better than a CAI.
