Default which headlight bulbs?

what is the best bulbs you have found, im looking at the silverstar's but are they any good? the stock bulbs sucked, i tried some zeon white's, they put out a strange light that in some conditions , didnt even seem like they were on, and basically no high beams... also the 98 takes a 9004 bulb correct?

yeah the bluer the light a less usable the light really is to see whats going on imho...and many others who switched back and forth...
some say silverstars are crap but I think they are an improvement over stock bulbs for sure...do they justify the 4 times higher price they were than stock when I saw them on the rack at advance??

The bulb type is correct, They sports used the 9004 and 9007. (9004 for high beams.) Jason said the ge nighthawk work better than any others he has try if I recall correctly. Also some clear headlights would help.

yeah if your lenses have yellowed or fogged up (common) it cuts a lot of the light output...

No, on a 99-2001 Sport 9007 is the low beam and 9004 is the high beam.

I've had Silverstars on my truck for 3 years now, and are starting to dim. Gonna upgrade to 99-2001 Sport headlights and use Philips bulbs. I have heard good things about Philips, so I'm gonna give them a try.

And for the bashing on Sylvania, I dont get it? Always had good experiences with them. In fact when I changed out to Silverstars, I found that the bulbs that were in the truck were Sylvanias, with a date code of September 1998.

Also, do all of us a favor (Not referring to the OP, or anbody in particular), and get rid of your stupid blue 6000K headlights!!! They blind everyone on the road!!! I think they should ban any headlight bulbs with a Kelvin rating over 5000K.

I have the 99/01 sport lights on my 96 with silverstar bulbs and they do pretty damn good.
Changed to the sports 3 years ago.
The 9004 bulbs are 5 years old and the 9007 are 3 years old.
