converting to 5.7L
I think that would be really cool. I like our magnum engines (besides a few of the common issues like the plenum), but the hemi runs really great. Whoever said it is overrated is wrong IMHO. We have the hemi in our 04 durango and it runs like a bat outta hell.
But as already stated, it would take a lot of custom fabrication and not to mention money.

Well, I don't see the word "custom" anywhere before I mentioned it. Sure, a few posts that state you'd have to have a donor truck, or at least most of one, and some money. None of them mentioned whether or not you could buy the parts online and do it or whether it would be a custom job, such as custom fabbing things. That second part I mentioned about it not being cheap was just trying to really reinforce that point that others made earlier.
So no offense intended, but that hadn't been completely established "a long time ago".

check out @Boostedmotorsports on YouTube he is doing all kinds of hemi swaps.
I would go the cummins route but its been done and its not what I need i already have the 7.3 powerstroke to handle my heavy work I need something to take to shows and out to play. I would invest the time and money just to be the first and the only 2nd gen with the 5.7L hemi.
