Post CAB Fresh filters: What every RAM NEEDS!!!

As some of you may know, I recently replaced the heater core and evaporator core. And as soon as I took the HVAC box apart and saw all the nasty crap and dirt that had accumilated on the evaporator core over the past 11 years, I was reminded of a product that Geno's Garage carried. It was the CAB Fresh filter kit. It is simply 2 carbon activated filters that attach over the cowl vents on the outside of your truck and are held in by 2 high quality fiberglass (Not ABS Plastic!!!) fitted plates.
Here is what happens after 11 years of no filters:

I went ahead and put the yellow card in my glovebox for future refrence (It is a sticker):

Hopefully these will eliminate the musty smell that you get from mold growing on the evaporator core.

And ordering from Geno's Garage was great!

I will follow up with a review every month with a look at my evaporator core by taking the blower motor out.

Guess I need to describe it better.

It took me around 20 mins to put them in. They use the 2 plastic hex screws on your cowl, then they come with 3 new screws for the front of the cowl. They advertise that there is no drilling required, but I drilled small pilot holes with my drill then put the new screws in with a screwdriver.

Well, to take out the evaporator you have to take out the whole dash and HVAC case.

But you could also take out your blower motor then stick a flexible vaccum hose in there and suck that crap up.
