hi i have a 1999 dodge ram with a 318 in it and it was made in canada and i have found a 1998 dodge ram same as mine exept it is from the states. my buddy was saying toning that the computers might be diffrent in this 98 because in his trucks he could hook his programer up to all his trucks except for his 03 because it had a difrent computer cause it was from the states

im not sure if this is true but if anyone can help me that would be great

Im not sure if this helps, but the 03 is a 3rd gen, which would have a different PCM which would make sense why it didnt work

 

sorry i forgot to mention his trucks are chevs so i duno if it would be the same theory
