For those of you that tow regularly...
i have a 01 ram w/360 auto trans. 108,000 miles and the only mod is a k&n air filter. i pull a 31 foot performance ( will a Ilmor V10, i like my dodge stuff ). i now it's back there don't get me wrong but i can run 75 mph on the highways. i'am sure there's 6000lb plus back there for sure. i can not bitch at all on how well the truck pulls and again it's stock. you have something going on with your ram
Me and the wife almost bought 2 new skidoo 800"s this year glad we back out on that. Only seen a trace of snow here in NY (buffalo area). Although i always got the adirondacks. But hell im not driving to snow. What a bunch of bs that would be. LOL
My 1997 Dodge Ram (5.9L, 4X4, 3.9 Gears) used to pull a 27 ft travel trailer. (I recently sold the travel trailer) I always had OD locked out. We live in the mountains and some grades were up to 8%. For the steeper grades I was in 2nd gear......... and sometimes in 1st gear. I probably averaged about 9-10 MPG (sometimes slightly more) while pulling this load.
When not pulling I average around 16.5 MPG on the highway, slightly less if I'm traveling at 70 MPH or more. When traveling deserted black top back roads at a slower speed, say around 50 I will get around 19 MPG. By the way driving on a deserted black top is a very relaxing way to spend time.......

edit: btw i dont do drugs just an analogy.
