Default Front End clunks

I have a 2001 1500 with a 6in lift. I just replaced all my tie rod ends b/c one was shot, so I decided to just do them all. Before this and now after, I have this clunking noise in the front when I turn the wheel. It only seems to happen when it rains and for a few days after. I guess it is something getting wet but that doesnt make much sense to me. It sound likes something is simply off and making the clunk sound.

If anyone can be of any help that would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check your u-joints. I had the same clunking soud and thats what it was. If there is any play in the joint then thats your problem.

Thanks, I will look into that. Is that an expensive replacement?

It was $345.00 for both sides. The shop put in greasable joints instead of the sealed ones from the factory. They last longer. If you had access to a press it wouldn't be too hard to do. I don't, so I paid for it.[:@]
