question, if you do buy one of these off of ebay or craigslist and the PO did not clear his/her VIN is there a way to get it reflashed or are you SOL?
you're sort of SOL, although you can call superchips or hypertech and make up a BS story that you took it to the dealer and forgot to uninstall it and the dealer reflashed your pcm. or your pcm got fried and you replaced it and lost the tune. they might check the VIN stored in the tuner and call BS or they might not. either way you'd have to pay shipping and a fee, probably something like $100.
if you got one that was VIN locked, you'd be better off to return it (and pay shipping and GET A TRACKING #) and either get a refund voluntarily or file a paypal dispute.
