Default Multi Cylinder Misfire & #2 misfire codes today

Early cold start this morning kinda left quicker than normal. And a bam CEL before I could even leave my short street. All gauges read good needed gas stoped with in a quarter mile. Seems to be noticably misfiring and poping at better than half throttle at about 60mph or so.

Needs plugs and wires so getting that done in the AM. NO other codes and wires are from the trucks birthday as far as I know, so go figure. Wish me luck.

Guess that these codes being so general barely help in this case if its not one of these issues.

I find that misfires (for the most part) are USUALLY caused by a clogged cat.

Make sure you get some decent wires, at least OEM quality, and that you route the wires per the TSB.

Where do you get gas at normally?

A clogged cat (most times) causes misfires on #6 and/or #8.

Good point about the gas. Normally a circleK close by. But have been buying as needed lately not wanting to commit fifty or so bucks at one time.

All seems better after I changed out the plug and wire on cly. #2. Would have done em all but the weather was miserable here today.
