Welcome to the forums!
In another thread, you stated you had the 3.7 V6. If you have a 2nd gen, you don't have a 3.7, you have the 3.9L V6. Just so ya know.
Is it a 4x4 or a 4x2? Is it an auto or a manual? Reason I ask, I'm determing whether you'd have to do a transmission swap as well. The V6 4x2 auto is a 42RE, which will not handle a 5.2L V8 or 5.9L V8. The V6 4x4, however, supposedly has the 46RE, which will handle the V8s.
Whether you have to swap the tranny or not, you'll definitely have to swap PCMs. V6 PCM won't run a V8 well, and vice versa.
