emission problem

Default emission problem

My check engine light came on and i took my truck down to auto zone and they told me it was something to do with my emission system. anyone have an i dea what it could be? I drive a 2001 ram 1500. thanks

pretty funny... both the post and wjx's answer

go back to autozone or where ever. take a piece of paper and a pencil. ask them to read your CEL codes. when they do, ask them --- WHAT ARE THE CODE NUMBERS ?

write them down. google them and/or post them here.
it'll be something like P0123 and/or P0441 or whatever.

don't let autozone interpret the codes for you. they'll simply tell you that you need to buy "this" or "that", which is usually an expensive 02 sensor or purge solenoid or something thats usually not what you need.
