Default Alternative to S-Bolt - FREE!

While at the junkyard last week, besides my heart being broken seeing a perfect condition Cash For Clunkers SS/T and Indy Ram there, I found this cool thing.

I'm not sure what it is called, but it came on various 2nd gen V6 and V8 Dakotas, 1st gen Durangos, Ram vans, and possibly Grand Cherokees. I got this one off a 97 V6 Dakota.
The problem was that I was stripping out the threads on my throttle body every time I had to take off the air cleaner.

So I went down to the hardware store and got a new 3'' long 1/4'' diameter carrige bolt and nut. Then I just put it on! Easy as pie! Mnnnnn....Pie.

clever. you might want to put some threadlocker on it, just so nothing rattles loose.

Thats a good idea also, but I'd have to put new threadlocker on it every time I took the air cleaner off. Now I would be back at square one.

And did I mention the price of this and a few A/C caps? Free!

I was thinking about cutting the air horns, I'm gonna wait until I do the kegger mod.
I got that sticker at the Mopar Nationals from the Paddock. I was laughing when I bought it because here I was, a 14 year old kid buying a $1.99 318 sticker to put on a '90s Dodge truck, while there are guys around me buying seats, gas tanks, and door panels for their Challengers, Chargers, and Demons.
The Paddock:

Thats an Edelbrock air cleaner turned around so I could get the sticker on.

With those air horns and that particular hold down, I can about guarantee you're losing WOT performance with the way that air hat mount sits over the TB.

That's assuming you ever drive WOT, or drive at all...

I could care less If I lose a little bit of performance to some function.
