Heater turned A/C?
#11
there should be 2 hoses going into the firewall on the pass side... disconnect those hose and flush the heater core by running water through either hose for.. 10-15 minutes.. then switch lines and flush the other way for 10-15 minutes... let all the water drain... reconnect to cooling system... park truck on steep hill with the front end being higher than the rear..pop the hood... remove rad cap slowly... turn truck on and let warm up a bit... turn climate control to the hottest setting and place vent control on defrost.. go to front of truck and add 50/50 blend of anti-freeze/water to radiator... "rev" the engine a few times by either flipping the throttle plat.. or getting back in the truck and pumping the pedal a little... repeat this for a least 20 minutes ... you can also gentle squeeze the hose on the bottom of the radiator (pass side) to squeeze out any air bubbles... after you feel you've gotten all the air out.. fill the res on pass side replace rad cap.. close hood.. and drive around town for a bit... this shold fix your problem... if you hear bubbling sounds while driving.. or immediatly after you turn the truck off... there is still air bubbles in the system and you will need to repeat this process I hope this helped
