Default ac removal.. and compressor install?

hey guys... i just posted a thread for power numbers, but i want to get rid of ac... i already have the condensor ( radiator lookin thing) taken off the truck, i dont run ac cause i just dont... makes no sense to me... thats why they make windows... so what all do i have to, or can safely remove from my engine bay to make it... cleaner i guess you can say... i am going to get hte non ac belt, and take the compressor off here in about amonth or so when it gets in my way... or i swap in the new motor... but one thing i have heard is that there is a company out there that will take your ac compressor out, and it putting in a air compressor for on board air... anyone heard of anything like this? or would i just be better off going with a compressor mounted in the bed?

i believe its pretty simple to convert your a/c to a compressor, you may try a yahoo or google search and see if you come up with anything....the non ac belt will only work if your truck didnt come with a/c and you have a pulley for it......there is a thread on here somewhere where a guy found that a toyota belt would bypass the a/c on an a/c equipped truck

well, almost any vehicle, you go to autozone and tell them you want the non ac belt,, and it is just shorter, and you dont run it around the ac compressor... i think an electirc pump would be better anyway, i mean, then it wont draw power from the motor...

no, on ours the non ac trucks had just a pulley in place of the compressor, so the lengths are diff than just bypassing it

alright, did some snoopin in old threads for ya,....the non ac trucks used a 88 inch belt, this would be too tight for our trucks so a 90 inch is what you need

You can use the A/C compressor as an air compressor. Bunch of minitruckers use the same Saden compressor that is on our trucks, on their trucks to run bags.
